Our Meats are Locally Sourced, Cut by Hand and the Finest Quality
For over 50 years (and counting) we’ve been supplying the people of Lancashire with the tastiest produce sourced from local, trusted farmers for guaranteed quality.
Sourced from Simon Duerden’s Mountain Farm in Blacko all our beef produce undergoes a 3-4 week dry aging process. During this time the beef is left to mature and develop a distinctive flavour, which is incredibly moreish.

We provide a range of high quality cuts, roasting joints and steaks including:
- Rolled Sirloin
- Steaks: Sirloin, Rump, Fillet, Ribeye
The pork we source from local farmers, is Free Range and the finest and freshest locally produced Pork in the area. Sourced from a farm less than ten miles from both stores we’re able to offer our customers fresh pork produce all year round.
We offer customers a range of cuts including:

- Rolled Belly Pork
Lamb & Mutton
Where we source our lamb and mutton from depends on the time of the year. During the months of May and June we get Salt Marsh Lamb, a delicacy in Europe, from Stuart Lawson of Bank End Farm in Cockerham. Here the sheep graze the salt marshes, which have never been fertilised or ploughed, resulting in a subtle, sweet taste.
Throughout the rest of the year we source our lamb from the same farm as our beef, Simon Duerden’s in Blacko, a few miles up the road from our Barrowford shop.
We dry age our lamb for 7 to 10 days whilst using traditional hanging methods for maximum taste. Our selection of high quality lamb and mutton cuts including:

All our poultry is Grade A Barn Reared from Atkinson Poultry in Padiham, just a stones throw away from our Barrowford shop (free range options are also available).

Turkey remains the most popular choice of meat for Christmas Dinner and here at Beech’s Butchers we source all our turkeys from Annabel’s Farm in Yorkshire. All of which are dry plucked resulting in a juicer, tastier bird.
